Diocesan Women Ministry

Diocesan Women Ministry

The Diocesan Women Ministry of the Anglican Diocese of Nsukka is a vital arm of the church dedicated to nurturing godly women, strengthening families, and advancing the mission of the church. The ministry comprises three key groups: the Mothers’ Union, Women’s Guild, and Girls’ Guild, each playing a unique role in shaping Christian women of all ages.

Mothers’ Union

The Mothers’ Union is a global Christian organisation committed to upholding Christian family values, supporting marriages, and empowering women through prayer, discipleship, and community service. In Nsukka Diocese, the Mothers’ Union is actively engaged in spiritual growth, charity work, and family enrichment programmes. It serves as a platform for mentoring younger women and fostering strong Christian homes.

Women’s Guild

The Women’s Guild provides a space for all women in the church to grow in faith, serve the community, and support church activities. It encourages women to develop their leadership skills, engage in evangelism, and participate in various outreach programmes aimed at strengthening both the church and society. The Guild also promotes moral and financial empowerment for women through skill acquisition and training programmes.

Girls’ Guild

The Girls’ Guild focuses on raising young girls in the fear of God, preparing them for Christian womanhood, and instilling in them values of purity, discipline, and service. Through mentorship, Bible study, and practical teachings, the Girls’ Guild nurtures future leaders who will uphold Christian principles in their personal and professional lives.
