Meet the rt revd aloysius eze agbo

The Right Reverend Aloysius Eze Agbo is the Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Nsukka. Elected as the second bishop of the diocese on 26 March 2008, he succeeded the pioneer bishop, the Rt Revd Dr Jonah C. Ilonuba. Since assuming leadership, Bishop Agbo has remained steadfast in fostering spiritual revival, discipleship, and community transformation within the diocese.

Born on 15 September 1967 in Akpani, Enugu State, Bishop Agbo pursued his theological education at Trinity Theological College, Umuahia, and furthered his studies at the University of Nigeria. His journey in ministry began with his ordination as a deacon in 2000, followed by his ordination as a priest in 2001. Before his consecration as bishop, he served as the Archdeacon of Enugu-Ezike.

A key aspect of Bishop Agbo’s leadership is the Vision 2030 initiative, the Diocese of Nsukka’s strategic roadmap for the next five years. This vision serves as a comprehensive framework aimed at spiritual renewal, church growth, and socio-economic empowerment.

In line with the diocese’s commitment to intentional discipleship and digital evangelism, Bishop Agbo launched the “Journey With Jesus” programme, an online discipleship teaching series broadcast on Facebook and YouTube. This initiative provides weekly scriptural insights, spiritual guidance, and practical lessons on Christian living, reaching both members of the diocese and a global audience.

A Visionary Bishop

Bishop Aloysius Eze Agbo continues to lead the Anglican Diocese of Nsukka with vision, wisdom, and a heart for both spiritual and societal transformation. Through Vision 2030 and “Journey With Jesus”, he is shaping a diocese that is spiritually dynamic, missionally engaged, and socially impactful, raising a generation of believers committed to Christ and His Kingdom.
