Ekene is a Senior Lecturer in the department of Religion and Cultural Studies University of Nigeria Nsukka. He has published many publications in reputable journals. He has attended many conferences both locally and internationally.
He holds Ph.D and Masters degrees. In 2008, he graduated with first class honours in Religion. At graduation, he received two awards; best graduating and best behaved student in department of Religion and Cultural Studies University of Nigeria Nsukka. He obtained Diploma in Theology in 1999 from Bishop Crowther College of Theology, Okene, Kogi State.
He got married to Blessing Nwannka who is a staff Registry department: Records unit, University of Nigeria Nsukka. The marriage is blessed with six lovely children.
