Rev. Canon Udeh Eric Chukwuka was born on 12th March 1967. He currently serves as the Vicar of St. Luke’s Church, Umabor, and was preferred as a Canon in 2014. He was ordained on 8th July 2001 and priested on 15 December 2002 and has since been actively involved in teaching the Word of God and counseling. He is a pastor and a family life minister.
He is married to Mrs. Ifeyinwa Precious Udeh, and they were joined in holy matrimony on 1st December 2001. Their union is blessed with four wonderful children—two boys and two girls.
Canon Udeh holds a Bachelor of Divinity (BD) and a Diploma in Theology from Trinity College, Umuahia. He also obtained a National Diploma in Urban and Regional Planning.
Over the years, he has served in various parishes including Holy Trinity Church, Obuohia Okike (1995–1997 and 2009–2010); St. Andrew’s, Nsukwe na Amibo (2001); St. Silas Church, Old Umuahia (2001–2002); All Saints’ Church, World Bank Housing Estate, Umuahia (2002–2004); St. Philip’s cathedral Ahaba-Oloko (2004–2006); St. Paul’s Church, Aro-Ajatakiri (2006–2009); St. John’s Church, Lejja (2010–2011); St. James Church, Alor-Agu (2011–2015); St. Andrew’s Church, Adani (2015–2020); Barth’s Church, Ohodo (2020–2025); and currently, St. Luke’s Church, Umabor (2025–present).
Canon Udeh is passionate about youth ministry, evangelism, and counseling. He is described as a teacher of the Word and a committed family life minister. His personal mission is “to see the younger generation established in the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
